Hebrews 9:19-22 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God had enjoined unto you. Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
‘Purged with blood.’ Ceremonially purged (9:13), not purged from sin (10:4).
‘Without shedding of blood.’ Here Paul shows that there can be no redemption except through the blood of Christ, and to prefigure this the law could not grant any remission of sin without the blood of a victim.
‘Blood is not remission.’ The word “atonement” is used 80 times in the Old Testament and only 1 time in the New Testament. The word “blood” is used 329 times in the Old Testament and 101 times in the New Testament.

Overcoming power (Rev. 12:11). A member of the Body of Christ (Acts 20:28). Salvation (9:15; Ps. 51:1-19).
